RUDN medical students take two bronze medals at the Anatomy Olympiad in Minsk

December 15, Minsk hosted the IX International Student Olympiad in Human Anatomy. It was attended by 9 teams from Russia and Belarus. Students of RUDN took two 3rd places in the theoretical and practical rounds.

The University was represented by the second year students of the Institute of Medicine majoring in General Medicine:

  • Martin Zender;
  • Diana Nuralieva;
  • Milena Efimova.

The third place in the theoretical round went to Martin Zender. He was one of the best at solving problems on classical and variant anatomy as well as eponymic names of formations.

“From the first minutes of the Olympiad our whole team struggled for every point. It was challenging, but insanely interesting. Naturally, the fact that our team had already participated and won prizes in similar events gave us confidence. More victories are ahead of us!” — Martin Zender.

Diana Nuralieva took the third place in the practical round. She won the prize for solving clinical situational tasks in obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, ENT diseases, cardiology, traumatology and radiology.

“Competition was very tough, there were representatives of the best universities from different cities of Belarus and Russia. I am very proud of my team, we showed excellent results and did not disappoint our university. During these three days we experienced completely different emotions, which will obviously go into the bank of our memories. I would like to express my gratitude to RUDN for giving us this opportunity!” — Diana Nuralieva.

The Olympiad was held at the Belarusian State Medical University in Minsk.
