The Russian team takes the first place at the International Mendeleev Olympiad of schoolchildren
This Olympiad is one of the most prestigious and massive competitions of schoolchildren in chemistry all over the world. 135 schoolchildren from 22 countries took part this year: Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Croatia. The national team of Russia included 10 winners and winners of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in chemistry.
The participants competed for the title of the best young chemists. Traditionally, the Mendeleev Olympiad is held in three rounds: two theoretical and one practical, including tasks on the sections of inorganic, organic, analytical and physical chemistry.
At the closing ceremony on April 28, the names of the winners were announced. Russia won the first place as a team, winning 7 gold and 3 silver medals.
In 2018, RUDN was chosen as the main operator of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren, organizing 24 subject Olympiads, preparatory training and participation of the Russian team in the international stage.

The new list of federal innovation platforms (FIP) of the Russian Federation includes 30 new organisations. Among them is 91ɫAPP named after Patrice Lumumba. This became possible thanks to the development of the Digital Pre-University Faculty of RUDN.
December 15, Minsk hosted the IX International Student Olympiad in Human Anatomy. It was attended by 9 teams from Russia and Belarus. Students of RUDN took two 3rd places in the theoretical and practical rounds.
