Global Universities in the Globalizing World
The main topic of the meeting is the Third Mission of Universities. Vladimir Filippov presented the report “Global Universities in the Globalizing World”.
The Council was established 8 years ago to hold international consultations once every two years with the leaders of the world's leading universities, to discuss current trends and challenges for the development of higher education in the world.
The Council includes 45 invited leaders from leading universities in the world - from Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Chile, India, China, Japan and Russia. Rector of the RUDN University is the only member from Russia in this Global Council of University Leaders.
On 4th of April 2025, RUDN University hosted the 2-nd annual event on Swahili.
The forum attracted over 400 representatives from 36 countries, including delegates from 16 Asian countries, experts from the nuclear industry, supporting and partner universities of Rosatom.
RUDN Institute of Environmental Engineering is hosting the winners of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards 2024 state scholarship program for the second time. The participants chose between 126 universities from 23 countries, including the USA, Canada and Australia. 25 best Indonesian students chose Russia and came to Moscow for the first time.
