RUDN University innovative engineering solutions at the ICCSE 2018 conference

RUDN University innovative engineering solutions at the ICCSE 2018 conference

The International Conference on Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering ICCSE 2018 was organized by the Malaysian University of Malaya and the IPN Education Group for the third time.

At the last ICCSE conference on the 4-6 of May Associate Professor of the RUDN University Department of Architecture and Construction of the Fyodor Rekach presented to the participants 2 studies - on the development of efficient hydraulic systems that reduce the risk of an emergency due to pressure fluctuations in the water pipe (Water Hammer Decrease by Introduction of Pipes with Low Speed Pressure Waves Propagation), and the choice of design schemes for architectural projects, depending on the composition of the elements and the material of the engineering design (On the problem of determining the basic calculation schemes for building structures and their elements).

The ICCSE was aimed to bring together leading academic scientists, professors, researchers, students and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Civil and Structural Engineering. It also provided the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Civil and Structural Engineering.

All honourable authors were kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference through submissions of their research abstracts, papers and e-posters on the:

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Construction Engineering Systems
  3. GIS
  4. Waste Management
  5. Structural Engineering
  6. Smart Materials
  7. Pollution
  8. Soil
  9. Water Conservation
  10. Urban Planning

Professor of the RUDN University Department of Architecture and Construction of the Fyodor Rekach had the opportunity to discuss the results of his research with representatives of the Sam Houston State University (USA), Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST) (South Korea) and the MARA University of Technology in Klang Malaysia.

In 2017, RUDN University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.
