The updated exhibition “Decade of Science and Technology” opened at the exhibition “Russia”
The exhibition demonstrates changes in Russian science over the past 20 years and shows opportunities for self-realization among young people in the field of research and development. 14 thematic halls are dedicated to modern Russian achievements in the field of science, technology and higher education. Visitors will learn what results of Russian scientists are already being used in medicine, construction, energy and agriculture.
A “Personal Track” system is available for exhibition visitors: at the entrance you can receive a bracelet with an RFID tag, which can be used to answer questions posted in the thematic halls. At the end of the exhibition - when the information is finally read from the bracelet - the algorithm generates personal recommendations for building a career in science.
In total, the exhibition features more than 60 exhibits, including:
- robotic medical system and manipulator for 3D bioprinting;
- small spacecraft “Yarilo” No. 5 for analyzing the chemical composition of the atmosphere;
- unmanned aerial system "Kontur" for autonomous continuous monitoring of a given territory in order to detect regime violations;
- optical module of the detector of the Baikal-GVD deep-sea neutrino telescope;
- manual autonomous complex of two-component bioprinting for the treatment of wound surfaces “Tissue Gun”;
- mock-ups of megascience class installations NICA and SILA and much more.
Also at the exhibition there is a scientific laboratory from the OUR LABA project. It houses research equipment produced in Russia and Belarus, and regularly conducts demonstrations and experiments. The laboratory's topics change monthly. In January, the biological and agricultural laboratory is presented, in February - the physical and engineering laboratory.
The exhibition “A Decade of Science and Technology” is located in pavilion No. 57 at VDNKh.
University weeks are regularly held here, where representatives of higher education and research institutes from different regions of Russia give lectures and talk about the achievements of domestic scientists. Visitors can also learn more about and participate in the Decade's initiatives.
Matilda Pavlovna Mityaeva was born in 1925. In November 1942, she volunteered for frontline duty. She participated in the Great Patriotic War from November 1942 to June 1945 as part of the 53rd Infantry Division of the 475th Infantry Regiment. She was wounded twice.
The team led by Sergey Zyryanov, Head of the Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology, became the winner of the All-Russian competition of scientific projects "Technologies for Human Health".
